1) As we have gathered¹  here together  to thank   god  for the Nobel Peace Prize  I  think  it will bebeautiful that we  pray the prayer of St. Francis of Assisi which always surprises² me   very much – we pray  this prayer every day after Holy Communion³, because it is very fitting⁴ for each of us,and I always wonder⁵ that 4-500  years ago as  St. Francis of Assisi composed⁶  this prayer that they had same difficulties⁷ that we have  today,  as  we   compose this prayer that fits very  nicely   for     us     also.

= আজ আমরা যখন সকলে এখানে সমবেত হয়েছি নোবেল শান্তি পুরস্কারের জন্য ঈশ্বরকে ধন্যবাদ জানাতে, আমার মনেহয় আ্যাসিসির সন্ত ফ্রান্সিসের প্রার্থনাটি যেটা সবসময় আমাকে ভীষন ভাবে বিস্মিতকরে, সেটা দিয়ে শুরু করলে চমৎকার হবে–এই প্রার্থনাটি পবিত্রপ্রসাদগ্রহন ‌\ সান্ধ্যভোজের পর আমরা প্রত্যহ করি কারন এটি আমাদের প্রত্যেকের ক্ষেত্রে অত্যন্ত মানানসই এবং আমি সর্বদাএটা ভেবে অবাক হই যে চার– পাঁচশ বছর আগে আ্যাসিসির সন্ত ফ্রান্সিস যখন এই প্রার্থনাটি রচনা করেন, তখন তাদের একই সমস্যা ছিল যা আমাদের আজ আছে, যখন আমরা এই সঙ্গীতটি গাই সেটা আমাদের সাথে সুন্দর ভাবে মানানসই হয়ে উঠে।। (1.- গ্যাদার্ড ;2.-সারপ্রাইজ;3.-হোলি-কমুউনিয়ন; 4.-ফিটিং; 5.- কমপোসড ;7-ডিফিকালটিস) 

2) I think some  of you already have got it – so we  will  pray together.

= আমার মনেহয় আপনাদের মধ্যে কেউ কেউ ইতিমধ্যে এটা ধরতে\ বুঝতে পেরেছেন– তাই আমরা একসাথে প্রার্থনা করব।।

3) Let us thank  God  for the opportunity⁸that   we have all together today , for this gift of peace  that reminds us that we have been created⁹ to live   that peace , and Jesus became man to bring that good news to the poor.

= আসুন আমরা সকলে ঈশ্বরকে ধন্যবাদ জানাই এখানে সকলে একসাথে হওয়ার সুযোগ পাওয়ার জন্য , শান্তির সেই উপহারের জন্য যেটা আমাদের মনে করিয়ে দেয় যে আমরা সৃষ্টি হয়েছি শান্তিতে জীবন কাটাতে আর যীশু দরিদ্রদের কাছে সেই সু-সমাচার বহন করে আনার জন্যই মানুষ হয়ে জন্মেছিলেন ।।   (8.- অপরচুনিটি ;9.-ক্রিয়েটেড;) 

4) He being God   became man   in  all things      like  us   except sin¹⁰ ,and he proclaimed¹¹ very clearly that he had come to give the good news.

 = তিনি ঈশ্বর হয়েও সর্বাংশে \ সর্বোতভাবে ছিলেন মানুষ , আমাদের মতো পাপ ছাড়া এবং তিনি খুব স্পষ্টভাবে ঘোষনাকরেছিলেন যে তিনি এই পৃথিবীতে অবতীর্ন হয়েছেন সু-সমাচার দেবার জন্যই  ।।     (10.- সিন;11.-প্রোক্লেইমড;)

5) The news was peace to all of good will and this is something that we all want –  the peace of heart – and God loved the world so much that he gave his son – it was a giving – it is as much as if to say it hurt God to  give , because he loved the world so much that he    gave      his son , and he gave him to virgin¹²Mary  , and what did she   do     with him ?

= বার্তাটি ছিল সদিচ্ছার জন্য সকলের কাছে শান্তির বার্তা,আর এটা হল এমন একটা কিছু যেটা আমরা সকলেই চাই– অন্তরের শান্তি– আর ঈশ্বর এই পৃথিবীকে এতটাই ভালোবাসেন যে তিনি তার পুত্রকে দিয়েদিলেন– এটা ছিল দান– এই দান এতটাই বেশি যে কষ্ট পেলে ও ঈশ্বর তার পুত্রকে দিয়েছেন কারন তিনি পৃথিবীকে ভালোবাসেন– তিনি তার পুত্রকে দিয়েছিলেন কুমারী মেরীকে এবং তিনি তাকে নিয়ে কি করলেন??

6) As soon as he came in her life – immediately¹³ she went to in haste to give that good news, and as  she Came into the house of her cousin, the unborn¹⁴child in the womb¹⁵ of Elizabeth leapt¹⁶ with joy.

= যে মুহুর্তে তিনি তার ( মেরীর ) জীবনে এলেন, তৎক্ষনাৎ তিনি সেই সু-সমাচার দিতে দ্রুত ছুটে গেলেন তার দুঃসম্পর্কের বোনের বাড়িতে, এলিজাবেথের গর্ভস্থ অজাত শিশুটি আনন্দে নেচে উঠল।।(13.- ইমিডিয়েটলি ;14.-আনবর্ন;15.-উম্ব; 16.-লিপ্ট; ) 

7) That little unborn child was the first messenger¹⁸ of peace.  

 = সেই ছোট্ট অজাত শিশুটি ছিল শান্তির প্রথম দূত (18.- মেসেনজার 😉 

8)He  recognized¹⁹ the Prince of Peace, he recognized that Christ has come to bring the good news for you and for me.

= তিনি শান্তির সেই রাজপুত্রকে চিনতে পেরেছিলেন, বুঝতে পেরেছিলেন যে যীশু আপনাদেরও আমার জন্য সু-সমাচার দিতে এসেছেন।।             (19.- রেকগনাইজড 😉 

9) And as if that was not enough²⁰ – he died on the cross to show that greater love, and he   died  for   you and for me and for that leaper²¹ and for that man dying of hunger²²and that naked²³ person lying in the street not only of Calcutta, but Africa, and New York, and London, and Oslo – and insisted²⁴ that we   love  one another  as   he    loves     each one of us.

= এবংএটা যেন যথেষ্টনয়– তিনি সেই মহানভালোবাসা\ প্রেম প্রদর্শনের জন্য তিনি প্রানদেন– তিনি প্রানদেন আপনার–আমার জন্যএবং কেবল কলকাতার রাস্তায় পড়ে থাকা ক্ষুধায়মরনাপন্ন সেই নগ্ন কুষ্ঠরোগীর জন্যই নয়, কিন্তু আফ্রিকা, নিউইয়র্ক, লন্ডনএবংঅসলোর লোকেদের জন্যও– এবং তিনি জোরদেন যে আমরা একে অপরকে ভালোবাসব ঠিক যেমন তিনি আমাদের বাসেন।। (20.- এনাফ ;21.-লেপার;22.-হাংগাআর; 23.-নেকেড;24.-ইনসিসটেড )

10) And we read that in the Gospel very clearly –  love     as   I  have loved you –  as       I   love you – as the Father has loved me,     I    love     you – and the harder the Father  loved     him, he  gave him to us, and how much we   love  one another, we, too, must give each other until it hurts²⁵.

= এবং আমরা সু-সমাচার পড়ে ভালোভাবে জেনেছি যে– ভালোবাসো,যেমন আমি আপনাদের ভালোবেসেছি এবং ভালোবাসি যেমন পরমপিতা আমাকে ভালোবেসেছেন, আমি আপনাদের ভালোবাসি, পরম পিতা তাঁকে যতবেশি ভালোবেসেছেন তিনি তাঁকে আমাদের জন্য দিয়েদিয়েছেন, আমরা একে অপরকে যতবেশি ভালোবাসি ততটাই একে অপরকে দান করি যতক্ষননা আমরা এটাতে আহত হই।।(25.- হার্টস 😉 

11) It is not enough for us to  say : I    love     God, but   I     do not    love my neighbour²⁶.

=  এটা আমাদের বলা সমীচিননয়\  যথেষ্ট নয় : আমি ঈশ্বরকে ভালোবাসি কিন্তু আমি আমার প্রতিবেশীকে ভালোবাসি না।। (26.- নেইবার 😉 

12) St John says you are a    liar²⁷    if you say love  God and you don’t love your neighbour.

= সন্ত জনের মতে তুমি একজন মিথ্যাবাদী যদি তুমি বল যে তুমি ঈশ্বরকে ভালোবাস কিন্তু তোমার প্রতিবেশীকে ভালোবাসনা।। (27.- লায়ার 😉 

13) How can you  love  God whom you do not see, if you do not love your neighbour whom you see, whom you touch,   with whom you live.

= কি ভাবে তুমি ঈশ্বরকে ভালোবাসবে যাকে তুমি দেখতেই পাওনা , যদি না তুমি তোমার প্রতিবেশীকে   ভালোবাস যাকে তুমি দেখতে পাও, স্পর্শ করতে পার, যার সঙ্গে তুমি বাস কর ।।

14) And so this is very important for us  to realize²⁸that love , to be true, has to hurt²⁹.

= এবং আমাদের এটা উপলব্ধি করা খুব গুরুত্বপূর্ন যে সত্যি কথা বলতে ভালোবাসায় আঘাত সইতে হয় ।।  (28.- রিয়ালাইজ ;29.-হার্ট্) 

15) It hurts Jesus to love us, it hurt him.   

= আমাদের ভালোবাসতে গিয়ে যীশু আঘাতপান\সহ্যকরেন।।

16) And to make sure    we   remember his great   love    he   made  himself the bread of life to satisfy30our    hunger for his love.

=তার এই মহান প্রেম সম্পর্কে নিশ্চিত হবার জন্য আমরা মনে রাখব যে তিনি আমাদের প্রেমের ক্ষুধা মেটাতে নিজের জীবনকে রুটিতে পরিনত করেছিলেন ।।।      (30.- স্যাটিসফাই 😉 

17) Our hunger for  God,  because we  have been created for that love. 

=ঈশ্বরের প্রতি আমাদের এই ক্ষুধা /বুভুক্ষা/আকাঙ্ষা কারন, আমরা তো তার সেই ভালো বাসার জন্যই সৃষ্ট  ।।

18) We have been created in his image³¹.

= আমরা তার প্রতিমূর্তি থেকেই সৃষ্ট।।

19) We have been created  to love  and  be loved, and  then  he  has become man to make  possible for  us   to  love   as   he  loved   us.

=আমাদের সৃষ্টি হয়েছে ভালোবাসার জন্য এবং ভালোবাসা পাবার জন্য এবং তারপর তিনি যেমন করে আমাদের ভালোবেসেছে তেমন করে আমরা যেন তেমনি করে ভালোবাসতে পারি তাকে সম্ভবকরে তুলতে তিনি মনুষ্যরূপধারন করেন।।

20) He  makes  himself the hungry one – the naked one – the homeless one – the sick³² one – the one in Prison³³ – the lonely³⁴ one – the unwanted³⁵ one – and he   says  : you did     it to me.

= তিনি নিজে কে রূপান্তরিত করেছেন একজন ক্ষুধার্ত, বিবস্ত্র, গৃহহীন, অসুস্থ, বন্দী, নিঃসঙ্গ, অবাঞ্ছিত হিসাবে এবং তিনি বলেন : আমার জন্য তুমি এটা করল।। (32.- সিক ;33.-প্রিজন;34.-লোনলি;35.-আনওয়ান্টেড) 

21) This is the hunger that   you  and   I   must    find ,it   may be  in     our   own home.

=এই ক্ষুধাই খুঁজেবের করতে হবে আপনাদের ও আমাকে, আর তা আমরা হয়তো তো পেতে পারি আমাদের নিজেদের গৃহে ও।।।

22) I never forget an opportunity I had in visiting a   home where they had all these old parents of sons and daughters who had just put them in an institution and forgotten may be.

= একটি আশ্রম পরিদর্শনের যে সুযোগ আমি পেয়েছিলাম সেটির কথা আমি কখনো ভুলতে পারিনা, যেখানে বৃদ্ধ পিতা-মাতাদের তাদের সন্তানরা যে একটি প্রতিষ্ঠানে রেখে গিয়েছিলেন সেটা তারা হয়তো ভুলেই গিয়েছিলেন।।

23) And I  went  there, and I   saw in that home they had everything, beautiful things, but everybody was looking towards the door.         

= এবং আমি সেই আশ্রমে গিয়ে দেখি তাদের সবকিছু আছে –সুন্দর সুন্দর জিনিস কিন্তু প্রত্যেকে তাকিয়ে দরজার দিকে।।

24) And I did not see a single one with their smile on their face.

= এবং আমি একজনের ও মুখে হাসি দেখিনি ।।

25) And I turned to the sister   and   I  asked : How is that ?

= এবং আমি একজন সিস্টারের দিকে ঘুরে জানতে চাইলাম : এমন কেন? \ এটা কিভাবে হল? \  এটা কেমন ব্যাপার?

26) How is it that the people they have everything here, why are they all looking towards the door, why are they not smiling?

= এমনটা কেন যে , এই মানুষগুলির এখানে সবকিছু আছে , তবে কেন তারা দরজার দিকে তাকিয়ে রয়েছে ।।।

27) I am so used to see the smile on our people, even the dying one smile, and she said : This is nearly every  day they are expecting³⁶, they are hoping that a son or daughter will come to visit them.

. = আমি মানুষের মুখে হাসি দেখতে অভ্যস্থ, এমনকি মৃত্যু পথযাত্রীর মুখেও , তিনি বললেন : এরা প্রায় রোজই আশা করে থাকে যে তাদের ছেলে বা মেয়ে তাদের দেখতে আসবে ।। (এক্সপেক্টিং)

28) They are hurt because they are forgotten, and see – this is where love comes.

= তারা কষ্ট পায় ( আঘাতপায় ) কারন তাদের ছেলেমেয়েরা তাদের ভুলে গেছে– আর দেখুন এখান থেকেই ভালোবাসা আসে।।

29) That poverty³⁷ comes right there in our    own  home,  even   neglect³⁸    to love.

= যে দারিদ্রতা যেটা ওখানে আছে, আমাদের নিজেদের ঘরে ও আছে– এমনকি ভালোবাসাকে অবহেলা করা।।।(37.- পোভার্টি ;38.-নেগলেক্ট) 

30) May be in our own family  we   have somebody who is feeling lonely, who is feeling sick, who is feeling Worried³⁹, and these are difficult days for everybody.

= হতে পারে আমাদের নিজেদের পরিবারে এমন কেউ আছে যে অনুভব করে নিঃসঙ্গতা, অসুস্থতা, যে উদ্বিগ্ন এবং এগুলি প্রত্যেকের কাছেই কঠিন সমস্যা।।(39.- ওরিড 😉 

31) Are we   there, are we there to receive them, is the mother there to receive the child?

= আমরা কি সেখানে পৌঁছাই– তাদের গ্রহন করতে? মাকি সেখানে গিয়ে শিশুকে গ্রহন করতে\ কোলে তুলে নিতে পারেন??

[ E ]

32) I was surprised⁴⁰ in the west to see to many young boys and girls given into drugs, and I tried to find out  why – why is it like that, and the answer was :Because there is no one in the family to receive   them.

= আমি বিস্মিত হয়ে গিয়েছিলাম পশ্চিমের বহু নেশার শিকার হয়েযা ও য়াযুবক-যুবতীদের দেখে– এবং আমি এর কারন খোঁজার চেষ্টা করি– কেন এমনটা হয়? আর উত্তরটা হল যে তাদের গ্রহন করার\ ভালোবাসার মতো তাদের পরিবারের কেউ নেই।।।  (40.- সারপ্রাইজড 😉 

33) father and mother are so   busy they have no time .

= তাদের বাবা –মা এত ব্যাস্ত যে তাদের কোনো সময় নেই ।।

34) Young parents are in some institution and the child takes back to the street and gets involved⁴¹in something.

= কম বয়স্ক বাবা-মা কোন প্রতিষ্ঠানে ( কর্মে ) নিযুক্ত থাকে এবং তাদের ছেলেমেয়ে রাস্তায় ঘোরাঘুরি করে এবং কোন কিছুতে জড়িয়ে পড়ে ।।       (41.- ইনভলভড 😉 

35) We are talking of peace .

   = আমরা শান্তির কথা বলছি ।।।

36) These are things that break peace, but I     feel  the   greatest  destroyer⁴² of peace today is abortion⁴³, because it is a direct war , a direct killing – direct murder by the mother herself.   (42.-ডেসট্রয়ার ;43.-অ্যাবোরশান) 

= এসব এমন জিনিস যা শান্তি নষ্ট করে – কিন্তু আমার মতে বর্তমানে সবচেয়ে বেশি শান্তি ধ্বংসকারী \  বিনষ্টকারী কারন হল গর্ভপাত\ভ্রুনহত্যা

37) And we read in the Scripture⁴⁴, for God says very clearly : Even if a mother could forget her child –  I will not forget you – I have carved⁴⁵you in the palm of my hand.   (44.- স্ক্রিপচার ;45.-কারভড) 

 = আমরা শাস্ত্রে \ধর্মগ্রন্থে পড়েছি যে ঈশ্বর খুব স্পষ্ট ভাবে বলেছেন যে : যদি একজন মা তার শিশুকে ভুলেও যান , আমি তোমাকে ভুলব না কারন আমি তোমাকে আমার হাতের তালুতে খোদাই করে রেখেছি

38) We are carved in the palm of his hand, so close to Him that unborn child has been carved in the hand of God.

=  আমরা তার হাতের তালুতে খোদিত , তাঁর ঘনিষ্ঠ যে অজাত শিশুটিও তাঁর হাতে খোদিত ।।।।

39) And that is what strikes   me most, the beginning of that sentence , that even if a mother could forget something impossible – but  even   if   she could forget – I    will not forget you.

= এবং যে বিষয়টা আমায় সবচেয়ে বেশি নারা দেয় তা হল বাক্যের শুরুর অংশটা যে – এমনকি যদি কোন মা অসম্ভব কোন কিছু কে ভুলে যেতে পারে তাহলেও আমি তোমাকে ভুলব না ।।

40) And today the greatest means – the greatest destroyer of peace is abortion.

= এবং বর্তমানে সবচেয়েও বড়ো উপায় \ বিষয় – সবচেয়েবড়ো শান্তির ধ্বংসকারী কারন হল গর্ভপাত \ ভ্রূনহত্যা ।।

41) And we who are standing here – our  parents wanted   us.

= এবং আমরা যারা এখানে দাঁড়িয়ে আছি আজ তা সম্ভব হয়েছে আমাদের বাবা–মায়েরা আমাদের চেয়েছেন বলে ।।

42) We would not be here  if  our  parents would  do that  to    us

= আমরা এখানে আজ দাঁড়িয়ে থাকতে পারতাম না যতি আমাদের বাবা–মা আমাদের সাথে ঐ রকম করতেন ।।

43) Our children, we want them, we love them, but what of the millions⁴⁶.

= আমরা আমাদের শিশুদের চাই , আমরা তাদের ভালোবাসি কিন্তু লক্ষ লক্ষ অন্য শিশুদের কি হবে ???    (46.- মিলিয়নস 😉 

44) Many people are very, very concern with the children in India, with the children in Africa where quite a number die, may be of malnutrition⁴⁷, of hunger and so on but millions are dying deliberately⁴⁸ by the will

      =  অনেক লোক ভারতবর্ষের ও আফ্রিকার শিশুদের কথা ভেবে উদ্বিগ্ন কারন সেখানে অপুষ্টি ও অনাহারে বহু শিশু মারা যায় , কিন্তু দেখুন লক্ষ লক্ষ শিশু মায়ের স-ইচ্ছায় মারা যায় ।।      (47.- ম্যালনিউট্রিশান ;48.-ডেলিবারেটলি) 

45) And this is what is the greatest destroyer of peace today.

    = বর্তমানে এটাই হয় শান্তির সর্বোচ্চ বিনাশকারী  ।। 

46) Because if  a mother can kill her own child – what is left for me to kill    you   and you kill me – there is nothing between.

= কারন যদি একটা মা তার নিজের শিশুকে হত্যা করতে পারে  তাহলে আমাদের একে অপরকে হত্যা করা ছাড়া আর কি রইল?

47) And this I appeal in India, I appeal every where : Let us bring the child back, and this year being child’s year : What have we done for the child?

= তাই আমি ভারতে ও পৃথিবীর সর্বত্র আবেদন করছি যে : চলুন আমরা শিশুটিকে ফিরিয়ে আনি এবং এই বছরটি হোক শিশুবর্ষ : আমরা শিশুটির জন্য কিইবা করেছি ?

48) At the beginning of the year I told, I spoke everywhere and I said: Let us make this year that we make every single child born, and unborn, wanted.

  = এই বছরের শুরুতে আমি বলেছিলাম , আমি সর্বত্রই বলেছিলাম , এই বছর প্রত্যেকটি শিশুর জন্ম যেন আমরা সুনিশ্চিত করি , অজাত , আকাঙ্খিত প্রত্যেকই  ।।

49) And today is the end of the year, have we really made the children wanted?

= এবং আজ হল বছরের শেষদিন আমরা কি প্রকৃতই শিশুদের আকাঙ্খিত করতে পেরেছি ?

50) I will give you something terrifying^49.

     = আমি অপনাদের কাছে ভয়ঙ্কর একটা তথ্য দেব ।।   (49.- টেরিফাইং 😉 

51) We are fighting abortion by adoption⁵⁰, we have saved thousands of lives, we have sent words to all the clinics, to the hospitals, police stations – please don’t destroy the child, we will take the child.

= আমরা দত্তকগ্রহনের দ্বারা গর্ভপাতের বিরুদ্ধেম লড়াই করছি এবং আমরা হাজার হাজার জীবন বাঁচিয়েছি , আমরা সেবাসদন , হাসপাতাল , থানা  সর্বত্র এই সংবাদ পাঠিয়েছি যে দয়াকরে শিশুটিকে নষ্ট করবেন না , আমরা শিশু গ্রহন করব ।।  (50.- অ্যাডোপশান 😉 

52) So every hour of the day and night it is always somebody, we have quite a number of unwedded mothers – tell them come, we will take care of you, we will take the child from you, and we will get a home for the child.

 = সুতরাং আমরা দিনে ও রাতের প্রতি ঘন্টায় সর্বদা কাউকে না কাউকে পেয়েছি , আমরা পেয়েছি অনেক কুমারী মায়েদের , তাদের আমরা আসতে বলেছি, আমরা আপনাদের দেখাশোনা করব, আপনাদের শিশুদের গ্রহন করব , শিশুদের তাকার ব্যবস্তাও করে দেব ।।

53)  And we have tremendous⁵¹ demand⁵² from the families who have no children, that is the blessing⁵³ of God    for    us.

= আমরা দেখেছি সেইসব পরিবার যাদের কোনো শিশু নেই, তাদের কি প্রচন্ড চাহিদা , আর এটা আমাদের কাছে ঈশ্বরের আর্শীবাদ স্বরূপ  ।      (51.- ট্রিমেন্ডাস ;52.-ডিম্যান্ড)   

54) And also, we are doing another thing which is very beautiful- we are teaching our beggars, our leprosy⁵³ Patients⁵⁴, our slum dwellers⁵⁵, our people of the street, natural   family planning⁵⁶.

  = আর আমরা আরও একটি সুন্দর জিনিস করছি, আমাদের ভিক্ষুকদের, আমাদের কুষ্টরোগীদের, আমাদের বস্তিবাসীদের, আমাদের পথবাসী মানুষদের শেখাচ্ছি স্বাভাবিক পরিবার পরিকল্পনার পাঠ    ।      (53.-লেপ্রসি;54.-পেসেন্টস;55.- স্ল্যাম ডোয়েলারস ;56.-ফ্যামিলি প্ল্যানিং)

55) And in Calcutta alone in six years – it is all in Calcutta – we have had 61,273 babies  less from the families who would have had, but because they practice this natural way of abstaining⁵⁷ , of self control out of love for each other.     

= আর কলকাতাতেই মাত্র ছয় বছরেই, – সবকটাই কলকাতা শহরে আমরা বিভিন্ন পরিবার থেকে ৬১,২৭৩ জন শিশুকে না জন্মাতে দেখেছি, যারা হয়তো এদের পেতো , কিন্তু যেহেতু তারা স্বাভাবিক পথে আত্মনিয়ন্ত্রনের অভ্যাস করেছে, একেঅপরের প্রতি ভালোবাসা থেকে     (57.- অ্যাবস্ট্রেইনিং 😉 

56) We teach them the temperature⁵⁸ meter which is very beautiful, very simple, and which our poor people understand.     (58.- টেমপারেচার 😉 

   = আমরা তাদের শেখাই উষ্ঞতার মাত্রা যেটা খুবই সুন্দর, খুবই সহজ এবং যেটা আমাদের দরিদ্র মানুষেরা  বোঝেন 

57) And you  know what they have told me?

   = আর আপনারা জানেন, তারা আমায় কি বলেছে ?

58) Our family is healthy⁵⁹, our family is united⁶⁰, and  we   can have baby whenever we want.

= আমাদের পরিবার স্বাস্থবান,,আমাদের পরিবার ঐক্যবদ্ধ, আর আমরা যখনই  চাইব  তখনই সন্তান লাভ করব  (59.-হেল্দি;60.-ইউনাইটেড) 

 59) So clear- those people in the street , those beggars – and I think that if our people can do like that how much more you and all the others who can know the ways and means without destroying the life that God has   created in    us.

= এত পরিস্কার এইসব  রাস্তার লোক, এইস ব ভিক্ষুকরা  আর আমার মনে হয় যদি আমাদের জনগন এইরকম আচরন করেন, তাহলে আর কি বেশি আপনি আমি আর অনান্য সকলে যারা জানেন ঈশ্বর সৃষ্ট জীবননাশ না করার উপায়

60) The poor people are very great people.

    = দরিদ্র মানুষেরা অতীব মহান মানুষ 

61) They can teach us  so many beautiful things.

     = তারা আমাদের কত সুন্দর জিনিস শেখাতে পারে

62) The other day one of them came to thank and said : You people who have vowed⁶¹ chastity⁶²you are the best people to teach us family planning.

= সেদিন তাদের একজন আমাকে ধন্যবাদ জানাতে এসে বললেন, : তোমরা যারা পবিত্রতা  রক্ষা করার শপথ নিয়েছ, তারা আমাদের পরিবার পরিকল্পনার শিক্ষা দেওয়ার জন্য সর্বোত্তম।      (61.-ভোওড;62.-চ্যাসটিটি;) 

63) Because it is nothing more than self-control out of love for  each other.

= কারন এটি আত্ম-সংযম আর  একে অপরের প্রতি ভালোবাসা ছাড়া আর কিছুই নয়  

64) And I think they said a beautiful sentence.

    = আর আমার মনে হয় তারা একটি সুন্দর কথা বলেছিল 

65) And these are people who may be have nothing to eat, may be they have not a home where to live, but they are great people.

  = আর এই লোকগুলির হয়তো খাবার কিছুই নেই, হয়তো বা থাকার জন্য কোন ঘর নেই, কিন্তু তারা মহৎ মানুষ

66) The poor are very wonderful people.

    = দরিদ্ররা খুব চমৎকার /  আশ্চর্য মানুষ 

67) One evening we went out and we picked up four people from the street.

= একদিন সন্ধ্যায় আমরা আশ্রম থেকে বেরিয়েছিলাম এবং রাস্তা  থেকে চারজন লোককে তুলেছিলাম 

68) And one of them was in terrible condition- and I told the Sisters : You take care of the other three, I take care of this one that I looked worse^63.

= তাদের মধ্যে একজনের অবস্থা ছিল ভয়ানক, আর আমি ভগিনীদের বললাম : তোমরা অন্য তিনজনের  যত্ন নাও আর আমি যার অবস্থা মন্দতর তার দেখাশোনা করছি  ।      (63.-ওয়ারস;) 

69) So I did for her  all  my  love can  do.

   = তাই আমি আমার ভালোবাসা দিয়ে যা করা যায় তাই করলাম

70) I  put her in bed, and there was such a beautiful smile on her face.

= আমি তাকে বিছানায় শোয়ালাম আর তার মুখে ছিলএক অপূর্ব সুন্দর হাসি   

71) She took hold of my hand,   as  she said  one  word only : Thank You- and she died.

= সে আমার হাত ধরল আর কেবল একটি মাত্র শব্দ বলতে পারল : “ ধন্যবাদ তোমাকে ” আর তার পর সে মারা গেল

72) I could not help but examine my conscience⁶⁴before her, and I asked what would I say  if  I  was in her place.

 = আমি তার সামনে আমার নিজের বিবেককে পরীক্ষা না কর থাকতে পারিনি, আমি নিজেকে জিজ্ঞাসা করলাম যদি আমি তার জায়গায় থাকতাম তাহলে কি বলতাম ।         (64.-কনসিয়েন্স);

73) And my answer was very simple.

   = এবং আমার উত্তর ছিল খুব সোজা

74)I would have tried to draw a little attention⁶⁵ to myself, I would have said I am hungry, that I am dying, I am cold, I am in pain, or something, but she gave me much more – she gave me    her grateful   love.

= আমি আমার দিকে দৃষ্টি আকর্ষ্নকরার চেষ্টা করতাম, আমি বলতাম আমি ক্ষুধার্ত্ , আমি মুমুর্ষু, আমি শীতার্ত্ , আমি যন্রনাবিদ্ধ বা এই রকম আরও কিছু, কিন্তু সে আমাকে আরও অনেক কিছু দিল, সে আমাকে জানাল  তার কৃতজ্ঞতাপূর্ন্ ভালোবাসা।      (65.-অ্যাটেনশান;) 

75) And she died  with a  smile on her face.

   =  আর সে তার মুখে হাসি নিয়ে  মারা গেল   

76) As that man whom we picked up from the drain, half eaten with worms, and we brought him to the home.

= আমরা সেই মানুষটাকে যাকে আমরা নর্দমা থেকে তুলে এনেছিলাম , পোকায় খাওয়া আধখানা শরীর, আর আমরা তাকে আনলাম আমাদের আশ্রমে

77) I have lived like an animal in the street, but I am going to die like  an angel^66, loved and cared for.

= আমি রাস্তার পশুর মতো বেঁচেছি, কিন্তু ভালোবাসা ও যত্নের মধ্যে আমি দেবদূতের মতো মারা যাচ্ছি ।      (66.-এজ্ঞেল;) 

78) And it was so wonderful to see the greatness of that man who could speak like that, who could die like that without blaming anybody, without cursing anybody, without comparing anything .

  = আর যে মানুষটা এইভাবে কতা বলতে পারে তার মহত্ত্ব দেখাটা আশ্চর্যের যে মানুষটা কাউকে দোস না দিয়ে , কাউকে অভিশাপ না দিয়ে , কোনো কিছু র সঙ্গে তুলনা না করে মারা গেল ।

79) Like an angel- this is the greatness of our people.

 = দেবদূতের মতো – আর এটাই আমাদের জনগনের মহত্ত্ব

 80) And that is why we believe what Jesus had said: I   was hungry – I was naked – I was homeless – I was unwanted, unloved, uncared for –  and you   did     it to me.

    = আর সেই জন্যই আমরা বিশ্বাস করি যীশু যা বলেছিলেন, “ আমি ছিলাম ক্ষুধার্ত্ , নগ্ন, গৃহহীন, অবাঞ্ছিত, ভালোবাসাহীন, য়ত্নহীন – এবং তোমারাই আমার জন্য এটা করলে  ।।

81) I believe  that we  are not    real  social workers.

    = আমি বিশ্বাস করি যে আমরা প্রকৃত/ সত্যিকারের সমাজকর্মী নই ।

82) We may be doing social work in the eyes of the people, but we are really contemplatives⁶⁷ in the heart of the world.   ( 67.-কনটেমপ্লেটিভস;) 

     =মানুষের চোখে হয়তো আমরা সমাজের কাজ করতে পারি, কিন্তু প্রকৃতপক্ষে আমরা পৃথিবীর হৃদয়ে ধ্যানমগ্ন   ।।

83) For we are touching the Body of Christ 24 hours.

    = কারন আমরা ২৪ ঘন্টাই খ্রীষ্টের দেহ স্পর্শ্ করছি  ।।

84) We have 24 hours in this presence⁶⁸, and so you and  I.   

= আমরা ২৪ ঘন্টা সেই উপস্থিতির মধ্যে রয়েছি এবং এমনটাই আপনাদের ও আমার ক্ষেত্রেও  ।    ( 68.-প্রেসেন্স;) 

85)You too try to bring that presence of God in your family, for the family that prays together stays together.

 = আপনারাও চেষ্টা করুন আপনাদের পরিবারে ঈশ্বরের উপস্থিতি আনতে, কারন সেই পরিবার একত্রে থাকে যারা একত্রে প্রার্থনা করে ।।   

86) And I think that we in our family don’t need bombs and guns, to destroy to bring peace – just get together,    love one another, bring that peace, that joy, that strength of presence of each other in the home.

  = এবং আমি মনে করি আমাদের পরিবারে শান্তি আনতে গেলে কোনো বোমা বা বন্দুকের সাহায্যে কোনোকিছু ধ্বংসের দরকার নেই, শুধু প্রয়োজন একসাথে থাকা, একে অপরকে ভালোবাসা আনতে পারে সেই শান্তি, সেই আনন্দ যেটা বাড়িতে একে অপরের উপস্থিতির শক্তি ।।

 87) And we will be able to overcome all the evil that is in the world.

  = আর পৃথিবীতে  যত কিছু খারাপ / অমঙ্গল আছে সেগুলিকে অতিক্রম করতে সমর্থ্ হবো  ।।

88) There is so much suffering, so much hatred⁶⁹, so much misery⁷⁰, and  we with our     prayer, with our sacrifice⁷¹ are beginning at home.

  = এই পৃথিবীতে আছে কত দুঃখকষ্ট , কত ঘৃণা ,কত দুর্দশা এবং আমরা আমাদের প্রার্থনা দিয়ে, উৎসর্গ দিয়ে আমাদের বাড়ীতে শুরু করেছি ।   (69.-হেট্রেড;70.-মিজারি;71.-স্যাকরিফাইস) 

89) Love begins at home, and it is not how much we do, but how much love we put in the action that we do.

=  ভালোবাসা শুরু হয় বাড়ি থেকে , এর মানে এটা নয় যে কতটা কাজ আমরা করি, বরং যে কাজ আমরা করছি তাতে কতটা ভালোবাসা আমরা দিলাম সেটা ।।

90) It is  to God Almighty⁷²– how much we   do  it does not matter, because He is infinite⁷³, but how much love we put in that action.

=  সর্বশক্তিমান ঈশ্বরের জন্য আমরা কতটা করলাম সেটা কোনো ব্যাপার না কারন তিনি অসীম / অনন্ত , কিন্তু কতোটা ভালোবাসা আমরা সেই কাজে লাগালাম সেটাই আসল  ।   (72.-অলমাইটি;73.-ইনফিনিট;) 

91)How much we do   to Him in the person that  we    are serving.

=  সেই ব্যাক্তির সেবা করার মাধ্যমে আমরা তার জন্য কতোটা করছি সেটাই আসল বিষয় ।

92) Some time ago in Calcutta we    had  great difficulty in getting sugar, and I don’t know how     the world got around to the children, and a little boy of four years old, Hindu boy, went home and told  his  parents: I will not eat sugar for three days, I will give my sugar to Mother Teresa for her children.

=  কয়েক বছর / কিছু সময় আগে কলকাতায় আমাদের চিনি জোগাড় করতে বেশ সমস্যায় পড়তে হয়, আমি জানিনা কথাটা কিভাবে ছোটো ছোটো ছেলেমেয়েদের কাছে পৌঁছেছিল, এবং চার বছর বয়সী একটি হিন্দু পরিবারের ছেলে বাড়ি গিয়ে তার মা-বাবা কে বলে  : আমি তিন দিন চিনি খাবো না, আমি মা টেরেসার (আশ্রমের ) ছেলেময়েদের জন্য আমার (ভাগের ) চিনি দিয়ে আসব  ।।

93) After three days his father and mother brought him to our home.

=  তিন দিন পরে তার বাবা-মা তাকে আমাদের আশ্রমে এনেছিলেন  ।। 

94) I had     never met them before, and this little one could scarcely⁷⁴ pronounce⁷⁵ my name, but he knew exactly⁷⁶ what he had come to do.

 =  আমার তাদের সাথে এর আগে কখনও দেখা হয়নি, এবং এই ছোট্ট ছেলেটি কোনমতে / অতি কষ্টে আমার নাম টিও উচ্চারন করতে পারছিল না, কিন্তু সে জানত সে ঠিক কি করতে এসেছে ।।

95) He knew that he  wanted   to share    his   love.

  =  সে জানত যে সে তার ভালোবাসা ভাগকরে নিতে চেয়েছিল ।।

95) And this is why I have received such a lot of love from you all.

=   এবং সেই জন্যই আমি আপনাদের সকলের কাছ থেকে এতো ভালোবাসা পেয়েছি  ।।

96) From the time that I have come here I have simply been surrounded⁷⁷with love, and  with real, real understanding love.          

 =   যখন থেকে আমি এখানে এসেছি, আমি ভালোবাসা দ্বারা বেষ্টিত হয়ে আছি, প্রকৃত / সত্যিকারের

   ভালোবাসা, বুদ্ধিদীপ্ত ভালোবাসা ।।     ( 77.-সারাউনডেড;) 

97) It could feel as if everyone in India, everyone in Africa is somebody very special to you.

=   মনে হচ্ছে যেন ভারতবর্ষের প্রত্যেকে, আফ্রিকার প্রত্যেকে আপনাদের কাছে বিশেষ  কোনো একজন   ।।

98) And I felt quite at home I was telling Sister today.

   =    আমি আজই এক ভগিনীকে বলচিলাম আমি বেশ স্বাচ্ছন্দ অনুভব করছি ( যেন আমি আমার নিজ গৃহেই আছি ) ।।

99) I feel in the Convent with the Sisters as if I am in Calcutta with my own Sisters.

=   আমি মঠে ভগিনীদের সঙ্গে থেকে অনুভব করেছি, যেন আমি কলকাতায় আমার নিজের ভগিনীদের সঙ্গে রয়েছি ।।

100) So completely at home here, right here.

   =   খুবই স্বচ্ছন্দে এখানে, ঠিক এখানে   ।।

101) And so  here   I am talking with you –I want you to find the poor here, right in your own home first.             

 =   আর তাই আমি এখানে আপনাদের সঙ্গে কথা বলছি – আমি চাই আপনারা এখানে দরিদ্রদের খুঁজে

   বেরকরুন, ঠিক আপনাদের নিজের বাড়িতে প্রথমে খুঁজুন  ।।  

102) And begin love there.       

=   এবং সেখান থেকেই ভালোবাসা শুরু করুন ।।                         

 103)Be that good news to your  own people.

=   সেই সু-সমাচার আপনার নিজের লোকেদের কাছে দিন ।।

104) And find out about your next-door neighbour – do you know who they are?

 =   খুঁজে বের করুন আপনার পরের বাড়ির / নিকটস্থ প্রতিবেশী কে – আপনারা কি জানেন তারা কারা ?

105) I had the most extraordinary experience⁷⁸with a Hindu family who had eight children.

=   আমার এক হিন্দু পরিবার সম্পর্কে এক অত্যাশ্চর্য্ অভিজ্ঞতা হয়েছিল যাদের ৮টি সন্তান ছিল ।। (78.-এক্সট্রা-অডিনারি এক্সপিরিয়েন্স;) 

106) A gentleman came to our house and said: Mother Teresa, there is a family with eight children, they had not eaten for so long – do something.

=  এক ভদ্রলোক আমাদের আশ্রমে এসে বললেন : মাদার টেরেসা একটা পরিবার রয়েছে যাদের আটটি সন্তান , ওরা অনেকদিন না খেয়ে আছে ।।     

107) So I took some rice and I went there immediately.     

=  তাই আমি কিছুটা ভাত নিয়েছিলাম ও   ততক্ষনাত সেখানে গিয়েছলাম  ।।

108) And I saw the children – their eyes shinning with hunger – I don’t know if you have ever seen hunger.

=  এবং আমি দেখেছিলাম শিশুগলির চোখ খিদেয় চিকচিক করছিল – আমি জানিনা আপনারা  কখনও ক্ষুধা দেখেছেন কি না ।।

109) But I have seen it very often⁷⁹.    

=  কিন্তু আমি এটি প্রায়শই দেখেছি ।।( 79.-অফেন;)  

110) And she took the rice, she divided⁸⁰the rice, and she went out.

=  এবং তিনি ভাতটি নিলেন , ভাতটি ভাগ করেদিলেন এবং বেরিয়ে গেলেন ।(ডিভাইডেড)

111) When she came back I asked her – where did you go, what did you do?

=  যখন তিনি ফিরে এলেন আমি তাকে জিজ্ঞাসা করলাম, তিনি কোতায় গিয়েছিলেন , – তিনি কি করলেন ??

112) And she   gave me a very simple answer: They are hungry also.

=  এবং তিনি আমাকে একটা খুব সরল / সোজা উত্তর দিলেন : তারাও তো ক্ষুধার্ত্    

113) What struck me most was that she knew – and who are they, a Muslim family – and she knew.

=  যেটা আমাকে সবচেয়ে বেশী অবাক করল সেটা তিনি জানতেন যে তারা কারা – একটা মুসলিম পরিবার – আর এটা তিনি জানতেন ।।

114) I didn’t bring more rice that evening because I wanted them to enjoy the joy of sharing.

=   সেইদিন সন্ধ্যায় আমি আর বেশি ভাত আনিনি কারন আমি চেয়েছিলাম তারা ভাগকরে নেওয়ার আনন্দটা উপভোগ করুক  ।।

115) But there were those children, radiating⁸¹ joy, sharing the joy with their mother because she had the love to give.

=   কিন্তু সেখানে ওই শিশুরা ভাগকরে নেওয়ার আনন্দ ছড়াচ্ছে / উপভোগ করছে তাদের মায়ের সঙ্গে কারন তার  দেওয়ার মতো ভালোবাসা ছিল  ।।      ( 80.-রেডিয়েটিং;) 

116) And  you  see this is where love begins – at home.      

  =   এবং আপনারা দেখছেন ভালোবাসা কোথা থেকে শুরু হয় – বাড়ি থেকে  ।।

117)And I want you – and I am very grateful⁸¹ for what I have received.

=   এবং আমি চাই আপনাদেরও / আপনারাও করুন —- এবং আমি অত্যন্ত কৃতজ্ঞ যেটা আমি পয়েছি তার জন্য ।। ( 81.-গ্রেটফুল;) 

118) It has been a tremendous⁸² experience⁸³ and I go back to India – I will be back by next week, the 15th I hope – and I will be able to bring your love.  

( 82.-ট্রিমেন্ডাস ; 83.-এক্সপিরিয়েন্স) 

  = এটা একটা অসাধারন অভিজ্ঞতা, এবার আমি ভারতে ফিরে যাবো, পরের সপ্তাহের ১৫ তারিখ নাগাদ ফিরে যাব আশা করি, এবং আমি আপনাদের (দেওয়া) ভালোবাসা সেখানে সঙ্গে নিয়ে যেতে পারবো ।।

119) And I know well that you have not given from your abundance⁸⁴, but you have given until it   has hurt you.   ( 84.-অ্যাবানডেন্স;) 

= এবং আমি ভালোকরেই জানি যে আপনারা আপনাদের প্রাচুর্য্ থেকে দেননি, কিন্তু দেন যতক্ষননা এটা আপনাদের কষ্ট দেয়  ।

120)Today the little children they have – I was so surprised – there is so much joy for the children that are hungry.

= আজকে তাদের যে ছোট শিশুরা আছে – আমি বিস্মিত হয়েছিলাম শিশুদের জন্য কতো আনন্দ , যে শিশুরা ক্ষুধার্ত্   

121) That the children like themselves will need love and care and tenderness, like they get so much from their parents.     

= ওই শিশুরা তাদের নিজেদের মতোই ভালোবাসার প্রয়োজন, আর যত্ন ও আদর ঠিক তাদের মতো

   যারা তাদের মা-বাবার কাছ থেকে এগুলি অনেক /প্রচুর পায় ।

122) So let   us   thank God that we have had this opportunity to come to know each other, and this knowledge of each other has brought us very close.

   =  তাই চলুন আমরা ঈশ্বরকে ধন্যবাদ জানাই কারন আমরা একে অপরকে জানার সুযোগ পেয়েছি, এবং একে অপরকে জানার এই জ্ঞান আমাদের খুব কাছাকাছি এনেছে

123) And we will be able to help not only the children of India and Africa, but will be able to help the children of the whole world, because as     you   know our   Sisters are all over the world.

= এবং আমরা যে কেবল ভারতবর্ষ্ ও আফ্রিকার শিশুদের সাহায্য করতে সক্সম হবো তা নয়, আমরা সমগ্র বিশ্বের সাহায্য করতে সক্ষম হবো ।

124) And with this prize that I have received as a prize of peace, I am going to try to make the home for many people that have no home.

   =  শান্তির পুরস্কার হিসাবে আমি যে পুরস্কারটি পেয়েছি, তা দিয়ে আমি গৃহহীন মানুষদের জন্য ঘর তৈরি করারা চেষ্টা করব  ।  

125) Because I   believe that love   begins at home, and if  we can create a home for the poor – I think that more and more love will spread.

=   কারন আমি বিশ্বাস করি ভালোবাসা শুরু হয় বাড়ি থেকে, এবং যদি আমরা দরিদ্রদের জন্য ঘর তৈরি করতে দিতে পারি,  – আমার মনে হয় যে আরো ভালোবাসা ছড়িয়ে পড়বে  ।  

126)  And we will be able through this understanding love to bring peace, be the good news to the poor.

=  এবং এই বোধগম্য ভালোবাসার মাধ্যমে আমরা সমর্থ্ হবো পৃথিবীতে শান্তি আনতে ; দরিদ্র মানুষদের কাছে সুসমাচার পৌঁছে দিতে ।। 

127) The poor in our own family first,  in our  country and in the world.

=  প্রথমে আমাদের পরিবারের দরিদ্র মানুষগুলি তার পর আমাদের দেশের এবং তারপর সারা পৃথিবীতে  (সুসমাচার পৌঁছে দিতে)  ।

128) To be able to do this, our Sisters, our lives have to be woven⁸⁵ with prayer.

=  এই কাজ করতে সমর্থ্ হওয়ার জন্য আমাদের ভগিনীদের আমাদের জীবনগুলিকে প্রাথর্না দ্বারা গ্রোথিত হতে হবে  । ( 85.-ওভেন;) 

129) They have to be woven with Christ to be able to understand, to be able to share.

=   তাদের নিজেদের যীশু খ্রীষ্টের সঙ্গে  গ্রোথিত হতে হবে, যাতে তারা বুঝতে সমর্থ্ হয়, ভাগ করে নিতে সমর্থ্   হয়  ।

130) Because today there is so much suffering – and I feel that the passion of Christ is being relived all over again – are  we there to  share  that passion, to share that suffering of people.

  =  কারনে আজকাল কতো দুঃখ-কষ্ট – আছে, এবং আমি অনুভব করি / আমার মনে হয় যে খ্রীষ্টের জন্য যে আবেগ রয়েছে ,

131) Around the world, not only in the poor countries, but I found the poverty of the West so much more difficult to remove.            

=  সারা পৃথিবী জুড়ে কেবল মাত্র গরীব দেশগুলিতে নয়, আমি দেখেছি পশ্চিমের দেশগুলির যে দারিদ্র

  তা দূর করা অনেক বেশি কঠিন ।

132)  When I pick up a   person from the street, hungry, I give him a plate of rice, a piece of bread, I have Satisfied⁸⁶.    

=  আমি যখন একটি ক্ষুধার্ত্ মানুষকে রাস্তা থেকে তুলে আনি, তাকে আমি একথালা ভাত দিই,

    এক টুকরো রুটি  দিই , আমি সন্তুষ্ট হই ।    ( 86.-স্যাটিসফ্যাইড;) 

133) I have removed that hunger.

    =  আমি তার ক্ষুধা দূর করেছি ।।

134) But a person that is shut out, that feels unwanted, unloved, terrified⁸⁷, the person that has been throw out⁸⁸ from society – that poverty is so hurtable⁸⁹ and so much, and  I   find that very difficult.

=  কিন্তু একজন ব্যক্তি যে অন্যদের থেকে বিচ্ছিন্ন, অনুভব করে অবাঞ্ছিত , ভালোবাসাহীন, ভীত যে সমাজ থেকে বিচ্যুত সমাজ থেকে – সেই দারিদ্রতা খুবই কষ্টকর এবং এতো বেশি যে আমার মনে হয় এটা দূর করা খুবই কঠিন ।। ( 87.-টেরিফ্যাইড;88.-থ্রোন আউট;89.-হার্টেবেল) 

135) Our Sisters are working amongst that kind of people in the West.

=  আমাদের ভগিনীরা পশ্চিমের দেশগুলিতে এইসব মানুষের মধ্যেই কাজ করছে ।

136) So     you   must   pray   for     us    that we may be able to be that good news, but we cannot do that without you,   you have to do that here in your country.

  = তাই আপনারা প্রার্থনা করুন আমরা যেন ওই সুসমাচার হয়ে উঠতে সমর্থ হই , কিন্তু আপনাদের ছাড়া আমরা এই কাজ আমরা করতে পারব না , আপনাদের ওই কাজ করতে হবে নিজেদের দেশে  ।।     

137)You must come to know the poor, maybe   our    people  here have material things⁹⁰, everything, but I Think that if we all look into our own  homes, how difficult we find it sometimes to smile at each, other and that the smile is the beginning of love.

= আপনাদের অবশ্যই জানতে হবে / চিনতে হবে ওই দরিদ্র মানুষগুলিকে হয়তো আমাদের এই মানুষগুলির পার্থিব সম্পদ আছে , সবই আছে কিন্তু আমি মনে করি যদি আমরা নিজেদের বাড়ির/ঘরের দিকে তাকাই তাহলে দেখব পরস্পরের দিকে তাকিয়ে হাসাটও কতটা কঠিন, আর সেই হাসিটাই হল ভালোবাসার শুরু  ।।  ( 90.-মেটিরিয়াল থিংস;)

138) And so let us always meet each other with a smile, for the smile is the beginning of love, and once we begin to love each other naturally we want to do something.

  = তাই আসুন আমরা পরস্পরের সঙ্গে /একে অপরের সঙ্গে হাসি মুখে মিলিত হই , কারন হাসি হল ভালোবাসার শুরু এবং একবার আমরা ভালোবাসতে শুরু করলে, স্বাভাবিক ভাবেই আমরা চাইব তার জন্য কিছু করতে ।।

139) So  you  pray  for our Sisters  and for  me  and for our Brothers, and for our Co-Workers that are  around the world.  

 = তাই আপনারা প্রাথর্না করুন আমাদের ভগিনীদের জন্য, আমার জন্য, আমাদের ভাইদের জন্য এবং  

  আমাদের সহকর্মীদের জন্য য়ারা সারা পৃথিবীতে ছড়িয়ে আছে  ।।

140) That we may remain⁹¹ faithful⁹² to the gift of God, to love Him and serve Him in the poor together with you.       

  = যাতে আমরা ঈশ্বর-প্রদত্ত উপহারের প্রতি বিশ্বস্থ থাকতে পারি, তাকে ভালোবাসতে পারি এবং আপনাদের সাথে একসঙ্গে দরিদ্রদের সেবা করতে পারি ।।   ( 91.-রিমেইন;92.-ফেথফুল; ) 

141)What we have done we should not have been able to do if you did not share   with your   prayers, with your gifts,  this continual giving.

= আমরা যা করেছি তা হয়তো তা হয়তো কিছুই করতে সমর্থ্ হতাম না যদি আপনারা

আপনাদের প্রাথর্নার সঙ্গে আমাদের প্রাথর্না ভাগ করে না নিতেন, আপনাদের উপার ও অবিরাম দান ভাগ করে না নিতেন  ।।

142) But I don’t want you to give me from your abundance, I want that you give me until it   hurts.

= কিন্তু আমি চাই না যে আপনারা আমায় আপনাদের প্রাচুর্য্ থেকে দিন, আমি চাই আপনারা ততক্ষন দিন যতক্ষননা এটা কষ্ট দেয় ।

= এই সেদিন আমি একটি লোকের কাছ থেকে ১৫ ডলার পেয়েছিলাম, যে কুড়ি বছর ধরে শয্যাশায়ী এবং শরীরের যে অংশটি তিনি নাড়াতে পারতেন তা হল তার ডান হাত  ।।

144) And the only companion⁹³ that he enjoys  is smoking.     

= এবং যে সঙ্গটি তিনি কেবল মাত্র উপভোগ  করতেন আতা হল ধূমপান  ।।  ( 93.-কমপেনিয়ন;) 

 145) And he said to me: I do not smoke for one week, and I send  you this money.

= এবং  তিনি বলেছিলেন : আমি এক সপ্তাহ ধূমপান করিনি, সেই টাকাটা আপনাকে পাঠাচ্ছি  ।।

146) It must have been a terrible⁹⁴ sacrifice⁹⁵ for him, but see how beautiful, how he shared, and with that money I bought bread and I gave to those who are hungry with a joy on both sides, he was giving and the poor were receiving.

 দরিদ্ররা   গ্রহন করছিল      = এটি অবশ্যই ছিল তার পক্ষে এক ভীষন /অতীব আত্ম-ত্যাগ , কিন্তু দেখুন কি সুন্দরভাবে তিনি ভাগ করে নিলেন, এবং ওই টাকা দিয়ে আমি রুটি কিনলাম এবং যারা ক্ষুধার্ত্ তাদের দিলাম; দু-পক্ষই আনন্দ লাভ করলেন, তিনি দিচ্ছিলেন আর দরিদ্ররা গ্রহন করছিল  ।।   ( 94.-টেরিবেল;95.-স্যাকরিফাইস; ) 

147) This is something that you and I –   it   is   a gift of  God  to  us to be able to share our  love with others.  

 = এটা হল এমন একটাকিছু যেটি আপনি –আমি সবাই করতে পারি ,  আমাদের ভালোবাসা একে অপরের সঙ্গে ভাগ করে নিতে পারা আমাদের কাছে ঈশ্বরের উপহার, 

148) And let it be as it was for Jesus.    

= এবং এটি এমনটি হোক যেমন হয়েছিল যীশুর জন্য  ।।  

149)Let us love one another as he  loved us.

= আসুন আমরাও একে অপরকে ভালোবাসি যেমনটা তিনি বেসেছিলেন আমাদের

150) Let us love Him with undivided love.

    =  আসুন আমরাও তাকে অখন্ড ভালোবাসা দিয়ে ভালোবাসি  ।।

151) And the joy of loving  Him and each other – let us give now – that Christmas is coming so close.

=  এবং তাকে এবং আমাদের পরস্পরকে  ভালোবাসার আনন্দ নিই কারন খ্রীষ্টমাস আসন্ন   ।।      

152) Let  us  keep that joy of loving  Jesus in  our hearts.      

= চলুন যীশুকে ভালোবাসার আনন্দ আমরা আমাদের হৃদয়ে রাখি ।।

153) And   share  that joy with all    that we come in touch with.    

  = আর যার সাহচর্যে আপনারা আসুনন কেন সেই আনন্দ ভাগ করে নিন ।।

154) And that radiating joy is real, for we have no reason not to be happy because we have no Christ with us.        

= এবং সেই বিচ্ছুরিত আনন্দই হল আসল, কারন আমাদের সকলের মাঝে খ্রীষ্ট নেই, এই ভেবে  আমাদের সুখী না হওয়ার কোনো কারন নেই ।।

155)  Christ in  our hearts, Christ in the poor that we meet, Christ in the smile that we give and the smile that we receive.  

= খ্রীষ্ট আমাদের হৃদয়ে, খ্রীষ্ট ওই গরীবের মাঝে যাদের সাথে আমরা মিলিত হই, খ্রীষ্ট সেই হাসির  মধ্যে

  যে হাসি আমরা অন্যদের দিই এবং অন্যদের থেকে পাই  ।।

156) Let us make that one point: That no child will be unwanted, and also that we meet each other always with a smile, especially when it is difficult to smile.

  = চলুন একটা বিষয় স্থির করি, : কোনো শিশুই অবাঞ্ছিত হবে না; আর আমরা সকলে একে অপরের সাথে মিলিত হবো হাসি মুখে, বিশেষত যখন হাসির কাজটা হবে কঠিন  ।।

= আমি কখনই ভুলবো না কিছুদিন আগে আমেরিকার বিভিন্ন বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় থেকে ১৪জন অধ্যাপক এসেছিলেন ।।

158) And they came to Calcutta to our house.

    = এবং তারা আমাদের আশ্রমে এসেছিলেন  ।।

 159) Then we were talking about that they had been to the home for the dying.  

= তারপর আমরা কথা বলছিলাম তাদের একটি মুমুর্ষু দের আশ্রমে যাওয়ার বিষয়ে  ।।

160) We have a home for the dying in Calcutta, where we have picked up more than 36,000 people only from the streets of Calcutta, and out of that big number more than 18,000 have died a beautiful death.

 = সেখানে কেবল মাত্র কলকাতার রাস্তা থেকেই আমরা তুলে এনেছি প্রায় ৩৬ হাজার মানুষ এবং ওই বিশাল সংখ্যক মানুষের মধ্যে ১৮ হাজারেরও বেশি মানুস সুন্দরভাবে মৃত্যুবরন করেছে ।।

161)They have just gone home to God; and they came to our house and we talked of love, of compassion⁹⁶,and then one  of  them  asked me:  Say, Mother, please tell     us something that we will remember, and I said to them: Smile at each other, make time for each other    in    your    family.

= তারা কেবল ঈশ্বরের গৃহে ফিরে গেছে, এবং তারা আমাদের আশ্রমে এসেছিলেন, এবং আমরা তাদের ভালোবাসার কথা , অনুকম্পার কতা বলেছি এবং তারপর তাদের মধ্যে একজন আমায় জিজ্ঞাসা করেছিলেন : মা, দয়া করে আমাদের এমন কিছু বলুন যা আমরা মনে রাখতে পারি এবং আমি তাদের বলেছিলাম : একে অপরকে দেখে হাসো; আপনার পরিবারের একে অপরের জন্য সময় দিন ।। ( 96.-কমপ্যাশন; ) 

162) Smile at each other.

  = একে অপরকে দেখে হাসো 

163) And then another one asked me: Are you married, and I said:  Yes, and I find  it sometimes very difficult to smile at Jesus because he   can  be  very demanding⁹⁷ sometimes.

    = তারপর অন্য একজন আমাকে জিজ্ঞাসা করলেন : আপনি কি বিবাহিতা ? এবং আমি বললাম : হ্যাঁ, এবং মাঝেমধ্যে / কখনোকখনো যীশু খ্রীষ্টের দিকে তাকিয়ে হাসাটা খুব কঠিন হয়ে দাঁড়ায় কারন এবং মাঝেমধ্যে / কখনোকখনো তিনি খুব দাবিদার হয়ে ওঠেন ।।   ( 97.-ডিম্যন্ডিং; ) 

164) This is really something true, and there is where love comes – when it is demanding, and yet  we can give it to Him with joy.

= এটি প্রকৃতই সত্য আর এখান থেকেই আসে ভালোবাসা, যখন ভালোবাসা দাবি করেএবং তবুও আমরা এটা তাকে দিতে পারি আনন্দের সঙ্গে    ।।

 165) Just as I have said today, I have said that if I don’t go to Heaven for anything else I will be going to Heaven for all the publicity because it has purified me and sacrificed me and made me really ready to go to Heaven.

= ঠিক আজকে আমি যেটা  বললাম, আমি বলেছি যে আমি যদি অন্য কোনো কিছুর জন্য স্বর্গে নাও যেতে পারি, আমি স্বর্গে যাবই এই সমস্ত প্রচারের জন্য , কারন এটি আমাকে বিশুদ্ধ করেছে আর আমাকে করেছে উৎসর্গীকৃত এবং আমাকে প্রকৃতই প্রস্তুত করেছে স্বর্গে যাওয়ার জন্য  ।।

166) I think that this is something, that we must live life beautifully, we have Jesus with  us  and He   loves  us.      

= আমার মনে হয় যে এটা এমন কিছু যে আমরা প্রত্যেকে সুন্দরভাবে জীবনয়াপন করব ,

আমাদের সঙ্গে যীশু আছেন এবং তিনি আমাদের ভালোবাসেন  ।।

 167) If we could only remember that God loves      me,  and  I      have an opportunity to love  others as   he loves me,  not in big things, but in small things with great    love,   then Norway become a nest of love.

=  যদি আমরা কেবলমাত্র এটা মনে রাকতে পারি যে ঈশ্বর আমাকে বালোবাসেন এবং আমারও অন্যদের ভালোবাসার সুযোগ আছে, যেহেতু তিনি আমাদের ভালোবাসেন, বড়ো কোনো কিছুকে নয়, ছোট কিছুকে, মহান ভালোবাসার সঙ্গে , তাহলে নরওয়ে হয়ে উঠবে ভালোবাসার নীড় ।।

168) And how beautiful it will be that  from here a centre for peace has been given.

    =  এবং এটা কেমন সুন্দর হবে না যদি এখানে থেকে ভালোবাসার কেন্দ্রস্থল তৈরি করতে পারি  ?

169)That from here the joy of life of the unborn child comes out.

 =   এখান থেকে বেরিয়ে আসা ন-জন্মানো একটি শিশুর জীবনের আনন্দ  ।।

170) If you become a burning light in the world of peace, then really the Nobel Peace Prize is a gift of the Norwegian people.

 =   যদি আপনারা শান্তির বিশ্বে জ্বলন্ত আলো হয়ে উঠতে পারেন, তাহলে নোবেল শান্তি পুরস্কার হবে নরওয়ের মানুষের দেওয়া প্রকৃত উপহার   ।।
