Ans: The king was pleased at Bholenath’s bravery and made him commender-in-chief.

Ans: His wife assured him that she she would tie him to the horse.

(c) What made the enemy soldiers greatly scared? (শত্রু সৈন্যরা কি ভীষণ ভয় পেয়ে গেল?)

Ans: When enemy soldiers saw Bholenath tied to the horse coming towards them, they became greatly scared.

(d) Do you think Bholenath could truly be called a legendary character? Give reasons for your answer. (তুমি কি মনে কর ভোলেনাথকে সত্যিই কিংবদন্তি চরিত্র বলা যেতে পারে? তোমার উত্তরের জন্য যুক্তি দাও।)

Ans: I think Bolenath was a truly legendary character. Though he had his own problems, he fought for his country.

The words you have underlined in Activity 8(a) are Abstract Nouns. Abstract nouns always indicate a state of being or a quality of mind. (তুমি অ্যাক্টিভিটি 8(a) এ যে শব্দগুলিকে আন্ডারলাইন করেছ তা হল অ্যাবস্ট্রাক্ট নাউন। অ্যাবস্ট্রাক্ট নাউন সর্বদা মনের অবস্থা বা মনের একটি গুণ নির্দেশ করে। )

Note that Abstract nouns are usually formed from- (মনে রাখবে যে অ্যাবস্ট্রাক্ট নাউন সাধারণত থেকে গঠিত হয়- )

It was last Sunday.  I was coming back from my aunt’s place.  I was caught in a storm. I got down from the bus. The sky was darkened. Suddenly a wild wind started to blow. Soon it started raining cats and dogs. I found no one around me.  I was afraid. After sometime, the storm stopped.  The rain continued. I came home. I got completely drenched.
