10) And here was I, accompanying him on my first ever journey to the Earth.

16)  I came back to the view-room which was empty.

= আমি পর্যবেক্ষণ ফিরে এলাম যেটা খালি ছিল । (empty-এম্পটি)

17)  I looked out into space.

= আমি মহাকাশের দিকে তাকালাম ।

18) My Moon, my home appeared very small now.

22) The sunlight crept slowly across the surface of the Moon until finally night was gone.

= সূর্যালোক আস্তে আস্তে চাঁদের গায়ে পুরোপুরি পড়লে রাত্রি একেবারে চলে যায় ।(crept-ক্রেপ্ট)

1) Suddenly the door opened behind me.

= হঠাৎ আমার পিছনের দরজা খুলে গেল ।

2) I could hear excited voices.

= আমি কিছু উত্তেজিত কণ্ঠস্বর শুনতে পেলাম । (এক্সাইটেড)

3) The ferry from Earth must have arrived.

= পৃথিবী থেকে যান নিশ্চয়ই এসে পৌঁছে গেছে । (ferry-ফেরি,  arrived-অ্যারাইভড)

4) It carried passengers from the Earth ready to go for the Moon Safari, people eager to look around the Moon.

= এটি পৃথিবী থেকে যাত্রী নিয়ে চাঁদের ভ্রমনে এসেছে যেসব মানুষজন আগ্রহের সঙ্গে চাঁদের সবকিছু দেখতে চায় তাদের নিয়ে । (carried-ক্যারিড, safari-সাফারি)

5)  And here we were, going to the Earth instead!

= এখানে আমরা এর পরিবর্তে পৃথিবীতে যাচ্ছি । (instead-ইনস্টেইড)

6) I slipped out of the room to the central lobby.

= আমি দ্রুত ঘর থেকে কেন্দ্রীয় / মাঝের বারান্দায় চলে এলাম । (slipped out-স্লিপড আউট, lobby-লবি)

7)  Father was standing there.

= বাবা সেখানে দাঁড়িয়ে ছিলেন ।

8) There were the last minute good-byes.

= সেখানে অন্তিম মুহূর্তে বিদায়-সম্ভাষণ চলছিল ।

9) -“Good luck, Governor.” Someone called out.

=  কেউ চিৎকার করে বলল , “আপনাকে শুভকামনা, গভর্নর” ।

10) – “See you in six months at the latest, “replied my father, cheerfully.

= বাবা আনন্দের সঙ্গে বললেন,  “ছয় মাস পর দেখা হবে” ।  (replied-রিপল্লাইড, cheerfully-চিয়ারফুলি)

11) I walked with him to the Earth ferry.

= আমি তার সাথে হেঁটে পৃথিবীর যানের দিকে গেলাম ।

12) It was magnificent.

= এটা ছিল চমৎকার /জমকালো । (magnificent-ম্যাগনিফিসেন্ট)

13)  It was three times as big as our Moon-ferries.

= এটি আমাদের চন্দ্রযান থেকে তিন গুন বড় ।

14) everything on Earth as wonderful as thistle I whispered to Father.

15) -“Pretty much so – it’s different from home,” Father replied.

16) The ferry moved slowly out of its dock.

= যানটি ঘাঁটি থেকে ধীরে ধীরে এগিয়ে গেল ।  (dock-ডক)

 17) It entered the Earth’s gravity.

= এটি পৃথিবীর মাধ্যাকর্ষণে প্রবেশ করল ।(gravity-গ্র্যাভিটি)

18) I found my eyes were closing.

= আমি দেখলাম আমার চোখ বুজে যাচ্ছে ।

19) It seemed only a few minutes before Father’s voice woke me up.

22)  Look!” I looked out eagerly.

= দেখো ! আমি আগ্রহের সঙ্গে তাকালাম । (eagerly-ইগারলি)

23) I recognized the narrow stretch of Central America, then the majestic Atlantic beneath us.

= আমি চিনতে পারলাম মধ্য আমেরিকার সংকীর্ণ বিস্তার এবং তারপর আমাদের নিচে সুবিশাল আটলান্টিক মহাসাগরকে ।  (recognized-রেকগনাইজড, narrow-ন্যারো, streatch-স্ট্রেচ, majestic-ম্যাজেসটিক, beneath-বিনিথ)

24) -“The planet’s all water!” I gasped.

26) A world that was seven-tenths water!

= একটা জগত যেখানে দশভাগের মধ্যে সাত ভাগ জল

27) On Moon, water was harder to get than oxygen.

= অক্সিজেনের চেয়ে জল পাওয়া আরো কঠিন ।

28) We had to pay for every ounce of it.

=  এর প্রতিটি আউন্সের জন্য আমাদের দাম দিতে হয়

29) Washing was a luxury and drinking a special delight.

35) “Don’t worry, it will get better.

= “কিছু চিন্তা করো না , সব ঠিক হয়ে যাবে” ।

36) It’s just the weight difference.”

= এটা কেবল ওজনের তফাৎ ।

37) I realized I weighed six times my normal weight.

= আমি বুঝতে পারলাম আমার ওজন স্বাভাবিকের চেয়ে 6 গুণ বেশি হয়ে গেছে । (weighed-ওয়েড)

38) After a while, I lifted my head.

= কিছুক্ষণ পরে আমি আমার মাথা তুললাম ।

39) Passengers were busy collecting belongings.

= যাত্রীরা নিজেদের জিনিসপত্র গোছাতে ব্যস্ত ছিল । (collecting-কালেকটিং, belongings-বিলংগিঙস)

40)  We had landed.

= আমরা নামলাম ।  (landed-ল্যান্ডেড)

41)  I struggled with my own safety straps.

= আমি নিজে সুরক্ষা বিল নিয়ে বেশ কিছুক্ষন ধস্তা-ধস্তি করলাম । (struggled-স্ট্রাগলড, safety-সেফ্টি)

42) Father leaned over to help me.

= বাবা আমাকে সাহায্য করতে ঝুঁকে পড়লেন ।

Part-3

1) Someone called out to my father, “Governor, the Press and TV are waiting for you.”

= কেউ আমার বাবাকে ডাকলেন,“গভর্নর, সংবাদ-মাধ্যম ও টিভি আপনার জন্য অপেক্ষা করছে ।

2) -“Oh sure, I’ll come right away.”

= নিশ্চয়ই, আমি এখনই আসছি ।

3) I watched him leave down the aisle.

= আমি তাকে লক্ষ্য করলাম  দুটি আসনের মাঝখানের জায়গা দিয়ে তিনি এগিয়ে যাচ্ছেন । (aisle-আয়ল)

4) Immediately I swung my legs down to the floor.

= সঙ্গে সঙ্গে আমি আমার পা দুটি দুলিয়ে  মেঝের উপর রাখলাম । (immediately-ইমিডিয়েটলি, swung- সোয়াং)

5)  I realized standing was tough and walking was very difficult.

= আমি বুঝতে পারলাম দাঁড়ানো কঠিন এবং হাঁটা আরো কঠিন । (realized-রিয়ালাইজড, tough-টাফ)

6) I practised, one foot and then the other, up and down the aisle, holding on to the seat backs for support.

7)  I put on my jacket and walked with difficulty to the exit point.

8)  I saw a crowd of reporters and camera men surrounding my father.

9) It was really a new world.

10) There was a storm of voices.

12) -“Governor, would you say the differences between Earth and Moon people can never be solved?”

= গভর্নর, আপনি বলবেন পৃথিবী ও চাঁদের মধ্যেকার লোকেদের সমস্যা কোনদিনও মিটবে না ?

13) -“I am convinced that with a clear understanding of our problems, the differences can be settled in a friendly manner.”

= আমি নিশ্চিত যে একটা পরিস্কার বোঝাপড়ার মাধ্যমে উভয়ের সমস্যা /প্রভেদগুলি  বন্ধুত্বপূর্ণ ভাবে মেটানো যাবে । ( convinced- কনভিন্সড, differences-ডিফারেন্সেস, friendly-ফ্রেন্ডলি )

14) -“Governor, how long do you think you will stay on Earth?”

= গভর্নর আপনার মনে হয় আপনি কতদিন থাকবেন পৃথিবীতে ?

15) -“I guess that it may take as long as six months to a year to settIe our differences.”

= আমি অনুমান করি যে আমাদের সমস্যা ছয় মাস থেকে এক বছরের মধ্যে মিটে যাবে । (guess-গেস)

16) -“One  last question, Governor.

= গভর্নর, একটা শেষ প্রশ্ন করি ।

17) Now you are back on Earth again, will your tell our listeners which is really home to you, Earth or Moon?”

= “ আপনি এখন পৃথিবীতে ফিরে এসেছেন, আপনি কি আমাদের শ্রোতাদের বলবেন কোনটা আপনার প্রকৃত বাড়ি পৃথিবী না  চাঁদ ?” (listeners-লিসেনারস)

18) -“That’s  a  difficult question to answer.

= এটা উত্তর দেয়ার পক্ষে একটা কঠিন প্রশ্ন ।

19) All my cultural ties are with Earth.

= আমার সমস্ত সংস্কৃতির বন্ধন পৃথিবীর সঙ্গে । (cultural- কালচারাল, ties-টাইস)

20)  But I must say that it is the Moon where my present and future lie.
