My dear Aunt,

I have not received any letter from you for a long time. I hope you are all well. We are also fine.

During Christmas holidays I have read a book. I cannot resist the temptation of giving an account of it. I have read an adventure story named ‘Hire Manik Jwole’ by Bibhutibhusan Bandopadhyay. The plot of the story is really interesting. Susil was a brave Bengali young man. He brought Sanat and Jamatullah to an island in Dutch West Indies. There he went on an exiting adventure. They discovered a royal palace in the dense jungle. In that ruined capital city he found a cave. In the cave he also found several precious stones and other treasure. Unfortunately there was danger waiting for them. I like the story for its excellent background and suspense. The flawless and lively description of the island also charm me.

Nothing more for the present. Take my regard.
