My dear Aunt,
I have not received any letter from you for a long time. I hope you are all well. We are also fine.
During Christmas holidays I have read a book. I cannot resist the temptation of giving an account of it. I have read an adventure story named ‘Hire Manik Jwole’ by Bibhutibhusan Bandopadhyay. The plot of the story is really interesting. Susil was a brave Bengali young man. He brought Sanat and Jamatullah to an island in Dutch West Indies. There he went on an exiting adventure. They discovered a royal palace in the dense jungle. In that ruined capital city he found a cave. In the cave he also found several precious stones and other treasure. Unfortunately there was danger waiting for them. I like the story for its excellent background and suspense. The flawless and lively description of the island also charm me.
Nothing more for the present. Take my regard.

unfair action. One day, while Gandhi was in school, an Inspector of schools came on a visit. The Inspector entered the classroom where Gandhi was sitting with other students. The Inspector gave a couple of English spellings to the students to write. Gandhi had written one incorrect spelling. The class teacher noticed this and indicated with his eyes to Gandhi to copy the correct spelling
from another student’s exercise book. But he did not do this. After the Inspector left, the class teacher scolded him for not following his instruction. Gandhi replied bravely that copying was dishonest and that is why he had not done it. (119 words)
Even as a child Gandhiji showed his honesty. During his schooldays a school inspector asked the students to write the spelling of two English words. Gandhiji made a mistake. Noticing this the class teacher secretly hinted him to copy it form other. But Gandhiji refused to do that and later told bravely that he had not taken resort to dishonesty.
