1) Once upon a time a  wealthy merchant lived in a big mansion with his three daughters.

2) All of them were very beautiful.

3) The youngest girl was Belle.

4) She was known for her loveliness and for being pure at heart.

17) When he reached the city he found, to his dismay that his ship’s cargo had been seized to pay his debts.

18)  So he was left with no money to buy   any present   for his daughters.

19) While returning, he lost his way in  a forest.

20) Seeking shelter, he came across a dazzling palace and entered it.

21) Inside, he found tables laden with food and drink, which had apparently been left for him by the palace’s unseen owner.

22) The merchant accepted this gift, ate to his heart’s content and spent the night at the palace.

23) The next morning as the merchant was about to leave,  he saw a rose garden and recalled that Belle had desired a      rose.

26) I   gave  you food, shelter and comfort.

27) And now you are taking away my most precious possession after accepting my hospitality!

27) You must  die        for your conduct!”

 28) The merchant begged to be set free.

   = বনিকটি/সওদাগরটি মুক্তির /ছেড়েদেওয়ার প্রার্থনা করল । 

29) He argued that he had only picked the rose  as a gift  for   his youngest daughter ,Belle.

 বেল  = সে যুক্তি দেখাল যে সে তার মেয়ে বেলের জন্য উপহার হিসাবেই গোলাপটি তুলেছিল ।

30 ) At last the Beast agreed.

31) “Fine, you can take the rose  for Belle, but you will have to return to the castle or else your daughter shall come to stay with me in the castle.”

 =  ভালোকথা / ঠিক আছে তুমি বেলের জন্য গোলাপটি নিয়ে যেতে পারো, কিন্তু তোমাকে এই দুর্গে ফিরে আসতে হবে, নাহলে তোমার মেয়েকে আমার সঙ্গে এসে এই দুর্গে বাস করতে হবে ।   ( else-এলস)

32) The merchant was upset, but accepted this condition.

33) The Beast sent him on his way, with jewels and fine clothes for his daughters, and Stressed that Belle must come to the castle of her own accord.

34) The merchant, upon arriving home, tried to hide the secret from Belle, but she pried it  from him and willing went to the Beast’s castle.

1)The beast gave her lavish clothing and food and carried on lengthy conversations with her.

4) She replied each time that she could not marry the Beast because she loved him only as  a friend.

5) But Belle could not make the connection between the handsome prince and the Beast.    

      = কিন্তু বেল রাজকুমার ও পশুটির মধ্যে কোনো যোগাযোগ স্থাপনকরতে পারত না । (connection-কানেকশান)

6) She was convinced that the Beast was holding the prince captive somewhere in the castle.

   = সে নিশ্চিত ছওল যে পশুটি হয়তো রাজকুমারটিকে প্রাসাদের কোথাও বন্দী করে রেখেছে ।।

7) She searched for him and discovered many enchanted rooms, but never the prince of her dreams.

8) For several months, Belle lived a life of luxury at the Beast’s palace, being waited on hand and foot by invisible servants, having no end of riches to amuse   her and an endless supply of fine clothes to wear.

9) Eventually she became homesick and begged the Beast to allow her to go to see her  family.

10) He said he would allow it, only if she would return exactly a week later.

11) Belle agreed to this and set off for home with an enchanted mirror and ring.

= বেল এই কথায় রাজী হল এবং একটি জাদু আয়না ও আংটি নিয়ে বাড়ির দিকে রওনা হল ।।

12) The mirror would allow her to see what was going on back at the Beast’s castle, and the ring would allow her to return to the castle in an instant when turned three time around her finger.

14)They grew jealous of her happy life at the castle.

15)Upon hearing that she must return to the Beast on a certain day, they begged her stay   just for one more day.

16)They even put onion in their eyes to make it appear as though they were weeping.
