1) Once upon a time, three fishes lived in a lake.

= একদা এক সময় তিনটি মাছ একটি হ্রদে বাস করত ।।

2) They were very close friends.

= তারা খুব ঘনিষ্ঠ বন্ধু ছিল ।

3) All three of them were very different from one another.

= তারা তিনজন একে অপরের থেকে আলাদা ছিল ।     (different-ডিফারেন্ট)

4) The first one believed in fate.

= প্রথমজন ভাগ্যে বিশ্বাস করত ।    (fate-ফেট)

5) He thought what had to happen would happen.

= সে ভাবত যেটা করার সেটা ঘটবেই ।   (thought-থট,Happen-হ্যাপেন)

 6) The second one was intelligent.

= দ্বিতীয়জন বুদ্ধিমান ছিল ।  (intelligent–ইনটেলিজেন্ট)

7) He thought he knew how to solve           a   problem with his intelligence.

= সে ভাবত যে সে জানে কিভাবে নিজের বুদ্ধি দিয়ে একটি সমস্যার সমাধান করতে হয় ।

8) The third one was the wise one.

= তৃতীয়জন জ্ঞানী ছিল ।   (wise-ওয়াইস)

9) He thought long before taking any action.

 = সে কোন কাজ করার আগে অনেকক্ষণ ধরে ভাবতো ।

10) One day, the Wise Fish was playing in water.

 = একদিন জ্ঞানী মাছটি জলের মধ্যে খেলা করছিল ।

11) He overheard   one fisherman talking to another.

= সে শুনতে পেয়েছিল একটি জেলে অন্যজনের সাথে কথা বলছে ।   (overheard-ওভারহার্ড্)

12) “Look at that one! What a big fish !

= ওদিকে দ্যাখো! কি বড় মাছ !

13) This lake is full of big fishes.

= এই হ্রদটা বড় মাছে তে ভর্তি ।

14) Let  us  come tomorrow and catch them.”

= চলো আমরা আগামীকাল আসি এবং তাদের ধরি ।

15) The Wise Fish hurriedly swam    to   his friends to tell the news.

= জ্ঞানী মাছটি দ্রুত তার বন্ধুদের কাছে খবরটি বলতে গেল ।    (hurriedly-হারিডলি, swam-সোয়াম)

16) “Let’s leave this lake before those fishermen come back.

= চলো জেলেরা আসার আগে এই হ্রদ ছেড়ে পালিয়ে যাই ।

17)  A canal I know can     take       us to another Iake, the wise Fish said.

= জ্ঞানী মাছটি বলল আমি একটি খাল/নালা জানি যেটি আমাদের অন্য হ্রদে নিয়ে যেতে পারে ।

18) The intelligent Fish said, “I know what to do     if the fishermen come and

catch me.

= বুদ্ধিমান মাছটি বললো,  “আমি জানি আমাকে কি করতে হবে যদি জেলেরা আছে এবং আমায় ধরে” ।

19) The Fish who believed in fate said, “Whatever is to happen will happen.

= যে মাছটি ভাগ্যে বিশ্বাস করত সে বলল,  “যা ঘটার ঘটবে”।

20)  I was born in this lake and I am not going to leave it.”

= আমি এই হ্রদে জন্মেছি এবং এটিকে ছেড়ে আমি যাব না ।

21) The Wise Fish did not want to risk his life.

= জ্ঞানী মাছটি নিজের জীবনের ঝুঁকি নিতে চাইল না ।    (risk-রিস্ক)

22) So he   swam through the canal and went to the other lake.

= তাই সে খালের মধ্যে দিয়ে সাঁতরে গেল এবং অন্য হ্রদে চলে গেল ।  (through-থ্রু)

23) The fishermen came back the next morning.

= পরদিন সকালে জেলেরা এল ।

24) They cast their net.

= তারা তাদের জাল ফেলল  ।

25) The two friends who stayed back were caught.

= যে বন্ধু রয়ে গিয়েছিল তারা ধরা পড়ল  ।     (stayed back-স্টেইড ব্যাক, caught– কট)

26) There were many other fishes in the net.

= জালের মধ্যে আরো অন্য অনেক মাছ ছিল ।

27) The Intelligent Fish thought of a way to escape.

= বুদ্ধিমান মাছটি পালানোর একটি পথ ভাবল ।   (escape-এসকেপ)

28) He acted as if he were dead.

= সে মারা যাওয়ার ভান করল ।

29) The fisherman threw him back into the lake.

= জেলেরা তাকে হ্রদের মধ্যে ছুঁড়ে ফেলে দিল ।

30) But the other fish, who believed in fate, was still jumping in the net.

 = কিন্তু যে মাছটি ভাগ্যে বিশ্বাস করত সে তখনও জালের মধ্যে লাফাচ্ছিল ।

31) The fisherman struck him dead.

= জেলেরা তাকে আঘাত করে মেরে ফেলল ।

Twenty froggies grew up fast

Big frogs they became at last.

Polished to a high degree
